Individual therapy

Individual therapy offers a dedicated space to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself. Whether you're facing a specific difficulty or simply feeling that something isn't quite right, therapy can help you make sense of your experiences and move towards meaningful change.

Some people come with a clear goal, while others arrive feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. All are welcome.

What to expect

The first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, what's happening in your life right now, and what you hope will be different.

We'll also talk about your personal history, previous experiences with therapy (if any), and begin to identify patterns that may be contributing to your current difficulties.

Rather than rushing towards solutions, I believe it's important to first build a shared understanding of what's happening. From there, we can develop a therapeutic approach together.

Therapy may be:

  • Short-term or long-term

  • More structured or more exploratory

  • Focused on developing insight, building practical skills, processing difficult experiences, or a combination of these

How I work

No two people experience life in exactly the same way, so I don't believe therapy should follow a single formula.

My work is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what is most helpful for you. For some people, therapy is primarily conversational. For others, creative methods, parts work (IFS-informed), EMDR-informed techniques, or trauma-focused approaches may become part of the process.

These approaches are never used simply because I know them—they are chosen together when they genuinely support your goals.

Throughout therapy, I aim to create a relationship that feels collaborative, respectful, and flexible. I see therapy as something we build together rather than something that is done to you.
